Our Commitment
At Spark Community Space, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. We strive to make our space accessible to all within the limits of our facilities and resources, while being transparent about what support we can and cannot provide.
What we do
- Offer a cup of kindness and a friendly welcome to everyone who visits.
- Provide opportunities to connect with others, find your spark, and explore creativity.
- Create volunteering opportunities for socially isolated members of our community, to support personal growth, skill development, and community involvement.
What we don’t do
- Provide access for anyone under 18 years old unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Offer personal care support.
- Allow dogs, except recognised Assistance Dogs.
- Provide formal 1:1 support, as we are a community space rather than a care service.
Visitor Responsibilities
To ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, those attending Spark Community Space must be able to:
- Access our toilet facilities independently, or be accompanied by a carer who can provide support.
- Eat and drink without assistance, or be accompanied by a carer who can provide this support.
- Keep walking aids with them at all times while in the space.
- Use mobility scooters responsibly:
- One designated space is available inside the café for one unattended scooter.
- Additional allocated scooter parking is available outside, on the subway side of the building.
- Scooters are left at the owner’s own risk.
