SPARK Community Space
Helping people spark back into life!
"Let's do something outside ourselves,
Something that repairs tears in your community,
Something to make life better for people less fortunate than you,
That's what I think a meaningful life is,
Living not for oneself, but for one's community"

Who We Are
SPARK Community Space is a registered charity launched in October 2020 by Becki Simmons in Southsea, Portsmouth.
The charity aims to help people who don’t feel like they fit in, to access the support and services they need, so they can ‘Spark’ back into life.

What We Do
At SPARK, we welcome anyone who feels pushed aside or overlooked by society, whether that’s because of illness, disability, redundancy, lack of qualifications or any other reason.
We meet people, wherever they are in life, without judgement, providing a space for people to share a cup of tea and a cake, gain skills and purpose through volunteering, and access training towards regaining confidence and a sense of belonging in society.
SPARK operates on a pay-what-you-can-afford basis along with donations.
Where We Are
We now have a permanent space with half of it used as a community café, to give people a safe and welcoming space to come when they need it, and the other half will be a charity shop where we can raise some funds to support the charity.
We meet every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 11am until 2pm. Now also open every Saturday 12pm until 3pm as a trading day.
